At the Movies.

Sunday was such a gloomy day again,
so I decided to go to a movie
while Hubba watched the Vikings.

I am not a big Viking fan anymore,
maybe someday when they get a better coach
or a Quarterback who doesn't keep dropping the ball.
I miss Randy Moss and when they traded him I lost my interest.
I would rather watch the Colts and Tony Dungy on the side lines
with my favorite quarterback Payton Manning.
Maybe I will be able to watch them in the Super Bowl
this year, we'll see.

I decided to go see Brad Pitts latest movie.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Not that I am a big Brad Pitt fan, there are other stars I would rather see,
but I am a fan of F Scott Fitzgerald and I wondered how his
short story would transfer to the screen.
Well, let me tell you, I was not disappointed.
I think I may have watched a couple Oscar winning performances and if the movie doesn't win best Picture I will be surprised.
Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchette gave great performances and man
would I like to meet that makeup artist and see
how she could un-age me.

If you are a movie goer,
put this at the top of your list before the Oscars come out.

This is definitely on our list, after seeing the previews....we just need a day to ourselves. Today was Marley and Me with the grandkids!! Oh, and snickerdoole making! We did go and see Australia, and liked it very much.

Oh Chris I love snickerdoodles.
my mom use to make them,
my mouth is watering.
Why don't I make them? The same reason I don't make Russian Tea Cakes or Philly Chocolate cookies.
Because I would eat them all while they are still warm.
My body doesn't need that :D

Whose does? good thing I have kids to eat them up! I had given up baking for a few years until I had these munchkins who LOVE to help bake. In the past, if my husband got the urge for something, or the bananas were going brown, he'd take it upon himself to do the baking, and he still does that to this day!

now for my real comment.... This is one movie I really want to see. So, hopefully I'll get over my latest illness and be able to go see it while it's still in the theater.

Sounds good...I wasn't planning on seeing it, but both you and my dad raved about it (and he is not a fan of Mr. Pitt, either.) Happy New Year!

I'd like to see this one, but may end up waiting for the disc.

We did manage to see "Australia" and if it doesn't get some Oscar nods I'll be shocked. Damn good movie!

I hope the New Year brings much Happiness to you and yours, my friend!

Thank you for being mine!
