Rain Rain go Away!!

News that next week will bring normal temps for this time of year helps my state of mind.
The cold I had thought was over came back with a vengeance yesterday, a quick trip to the Doctor this AM told me what I already knew..
Bronchitis, most likely from a virus, so antibiotics won't help.
She did prescribe a Bronchial Dilator, and it has helped somewhat.
I am not a pleasant ill person,
I have things to do.
Poor Hubba has just crept down to his TV room,I did feed him first.
If anyone has any good suggestions other then the usual chicken noodle soup and steam..
Please be my Doctor Nurse..

Mean while I am going to fix a hot whiskey and water and hit the couch.
( the doctor didn't say what kind of steam :D )

Awwww, Gigi! I am sorry to hear that you have bronchitis! That is the worst! I had it during the winter when we lived in SD...of course, I didn't go to the doctor, so I had it for well over a month or so! It was just rotten! I hope that you get to feeling better soon! Some hot buttered rum is sure to help! LOL ;)

Hugs and love,
Sarah

I hope you feel better v. soon!
Many of our Russian students say vodka is medicinal so I'm sure there's nothing at all wrong with the whiskey!

At least we got some unexpected sunshine today.

Oh I hope you are feeling better G, being sick is such a bummer.

Now that hot whiskey and water reminds me of the hot toddies that my grandma used to force us to drink when we were little and sick. I say force because I never liked them much but my sister, now she loved them.

Grandma would take whiskey, a little honey, or sugar if we didn't have honey, and lemon and she'd heat it all up stir it and tell us to hold our noses and drink it down. I think she did it for two reason, One, to knock us out so we would stop whining, and two, to make us associate drinking with feeling like sh...crap. And the second reason seems to have worked for me, because if I drink too much I feel like I have the flu. Heh.

Be well sweetie! xx

Sorry to hear you're under the weather Gigi. I'm sipping on chicken broth myself, still nursing abdominal cramps after running the Lake Minnetonka 1/2 Marathon yesterday. I found out the hard way that taking a sauna and sipping on a glass of wine is not a very good way to stay hydrated the day before a big run. What was I thinking????
I hope you get better soon!!! xxxooo
