Green Tea: It's sometimes sad to see how things have changed in this industry. There's a lot of hawking books and opinions. The one thing I always admired about Walter Cronkite was that he was never partisan; that is, you never really knew what his personal political beliefs were because he had a mission to simply report the news. The news industry has never been more brutal than it is today. It's always been "feast or famine". But Cronkite set the standards for excellence. I always had my heart in my work when I was on the air. I hope others will too, no matter how large or how small a market. He was a very good role model.
